USP Chapter <797> Analysis:

When USP Chapter <797> was introduced, we performed an internal self assessment to determine if there were any gaps between the policies and procedures that we already had in place and those required by the USP. After determining that no major gaps existed, we then performed a gap analysis provided by International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding followed by a self assessment using the gap analysis from American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. In each case, UPI was found to be compliant with the requirements of USP Chapter <797>.

Lastly, the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is adopting parts of USP Ch. <797> as law and strongly encourages that compounding pharmacies follow all standards as set forth by the USP. UPI’s promise is to be “The Best There Is.” This requires going above and beyond what is required. UPI does this each and every day.
